Shanghai Songjiang Shock Absorber Group Co., Ltd., featured on their official website, proudly announces the successful delivery of explosion-proof rubber joints for the LG Display Guangzhou OLED project. With a commitment to delivering high-quality pipeline-expansion-joints , Songjiang Group has become a trusted supplier for various LG projects. Their state-of-the-art factory, equipped with a comprehensive type testing center, ensures stringent quality control and product excellence.

A significant milestone has been reached with the commencement of production at China’s first high-generation OLED panel line, the LG Display Guangzhou OLED project. Boasting the world’s largest and most advanced 8.5th generation OLED production line, this project, located in Guangzhou Development Zone’s Huangpu District, represents a massive investment of approximately 46 billion Chinese Yuan. The ambitious venture aims to achieve a remarkable monthly production capacity of 90,000 panels by the end of 2021, translating to an impressive annual output value of about 20 billion Chinese Yuan. Furthermore, the establishment of an LG Display-led flat panel display industry cluster is projected to generate an annual output value of 120 billion Chinese Yuan, propelling Guangzhou to become a global OLED strategic base.

Spanning over 190,000 square meters, with a towering main factory building reaching a height of 94 meters across nine floors, the LG Display Guangzhou OLED project epitomizes modernity, intelligence, and cutting-edge technology. The factory interior is thoughtfully designed with million-class clean production workshops and globally leading intelligent production lines to ensure efficient and top-notch manufacturing processes.

This groundbreaking venture focuses on producing 4K ultra-high-definition OLED panels for large-sized televisions, catering to various screen sizes, including 55-inch, 65-inch, and 77-inch displays. The project’s phased investments have reached a total of 46 billion Chinese Yuan, with plans to achieve a monthly production capacity of 90,000 panels and an impressive panel production capacity of 4.984 million units per year by the end of 2021. As of now, the cumulative investment has already reached 28 billion Chinese Yuan, poised to unlock an annual output value of approximately 20 billion Chinese Yuan upon completion.

Guangzhou stands out as a global OLED strategic base, and its role is only poised to grow further with continued economic development and increasing consumer purchasing power. Notably, China has emerged as a pivotal market driving the advancement of new technologies and products. Market research firm IHS data reveals that in 2017, the Chinese television market claimed a stable global market share of 25%, securing the top position worldwide. Forecasts from IHS indicate a rapid growth rate of 115.5% in China’s OLED TV market by 2019 compared to 2018, making China the only region globally with OLED TV growth exceeding 100%.
